As the forces of darkness grow stronger, their soldiers become more menacing and ruthless. Their attacks against the innocents of Bermesiah Continent grow more brutal and frequent. Even though the allied forces of the Silver Cross Town Thief Guild’s Assassins, Eryuell Island’s Elven Archers, and the Violet Mage Guild’s Magicians tried to exterminate all these monsters, they remain vastly outnumbered. The Silver Cross Town Thief Guild is training more powerful Dark Assassins, so called because of their black capes, to more effectively counter the evil that threatens Bermesiah Continent.
Dark Assassins use large Claws that cover their forearms up to their elbows. They are capable of instantly "teleporting" right next to their enemies, due to their fast speed. They also have a lot of agility. They are excellent at performing surprise attacks and can use their surroundings to their own advantage.
The Assassin’s (Sin for short) greatest advantage is his dash: he can double dash on the ground, dash in any location, speed up his dash after the second dash, and freely change the dash direction to chase fleeing enemies. He also has great attack speed that can be used to instantly finish enemies at close range, though he may need to change his attack strategies according to how his enemies move.
Thieves dual wield daggers in combat and confound enemies with their incredible speed. They attack with speed, preferring to finish their enemies with one, carefully aimed blow.

The title "Striker" (Slasher, Evan Striper or justStriper in foreign) is reserved for the highest class of Assassins, and Lass, who possesses experience and wisdom beyond his young age, was given the title Striker and a place of honor above all other Strikers. Though he had been possessed byKaze'aze, Lass went on a journey seeking absolution, driving out the evil spirits from within him while gaining experience in battle. The leader of the Assassins considered Lass to be a worthy successor and ordered him to undergo a special mission. Having completed all of his missions and saved Bermesiah from Dark Anmon, he received the Assassin Guild Leader's sword, the Nodachi, and inherited the skill that allows him to draw the Nodachi out of its scabbard as quick as lightning, thus beginning his journey as the Assassin Guild’s Striker.
The Striker's weapon is called a Nodachi, a long sword that is kept in a scabbard. The Nodachi can remain in its scabbard even during battle, but even the most basic techniques require the wielder to draw the blade at the speed of light. The Striker's Shadow Dash is difficult for even Assassins to follow, moving rapidly on the ground and in the air using peculiar skills to harass the enemy with continuous, rapid fire attacks with the Nodachi.

Lass’ mind and body was freed from Kaze'aze's possession after the Grand Chase vanquished Kaze'aze's evil from the world. Although he wasn’t in control of his actions, Lass still felt guilty when he realized that his body was used as Kaze'aze's vessel to devastate the continent and kill countless innocents. The members of the Grand Chase understood that Lass was determined to right his wrongs, allowed him to join them on their journey to restore peace to the continent.
